About Me

I’m Ben Openshaw, a Shopify Developer based in Surrey, UK. I work with merchants to build, customise, and maintain their e-commerce stores. I focus on builds that are professional, reliable and straight-forward to manage.

My background includes several tech-related roles at companies such as Creative Artists Agency, Starling Bank, and Harlequins Rugby Club. I began learning to code during the pandemic and developed a strong interest in front-end development - particularly within the e-commerce space. I now work as the E-commerce Manager at Hersey & Son Silversmiths, a Shopify Plus merchant, where I oversee the online store and lead development projects across Shopify.

In addition to this, I enjoy working on freelance projects with local Shopify merchants - helping them launch new stores, customise themes, and implement features that improve their customer experience and day-to-day operations. I’m always looking for opportunities to support small businesses and apply my skills to projects that have a real impact.
